1st Driving School place great emphasis on providing an efficient and quality training service to our pupils. In order to provide this, we require the highest quality instructors which is why our franchise plans are so attractive compared to other schools.
As a newly qualified or experienced driving instructor you have the opportunity to be welcomed into a partnership with 1st Driving School. That’s what sets us apart from the rest- our desired relationship with our instructors is a partnership, no hierarchy involved. Our office management staff all have experience as driving instructors so we understand how the industry works and how instructors deserve to be treated.
You can rest assured that you will be your own boss – you choose when you work and where you work. On top of this, you have the added benefits of a fantastic support team right by your side. We are always available for a chat or query and strive to build a lasting relationship with you.
We are a family run business and have been since 2002. We do things the right way and a large portion of our business is based on the common trust and respect between you and us. That’s why we don’t have the need for tie in contracts- if things aren’t working out we appreciate that and your decision to leave at any time is entirely yours.

No administration is required between yourself and 1st Driving School, all we ask is you keep us informed when you need new pupils, this way we can continue to offer you the right pupils on the right days that you request.
When a pupil passes their driving test we will need to know so we can post them a congratulations pack out.
1st Driving School does not keep a diary for you as we believe it should be up to you when and where you work. We notify all instructors new pupils by sms, we then ask you to give the pupil a quick call to arrange a lesson at a convenient time for you.
If you do not want to take the pupil then just let us know and we will do the rest.
You will have full control over your pupil's bookings
1st Driving School will then send a welcome pack out to the new pupil that very same day confirming the date and time of their first lesson with you.
On a monthly basis we will contact you to discuss any issues or queries which you may have but please feel free to contact us whenever you like.
