If it wasn’t for Michael Harmer at 1st Driving School I wouldn’t have passed so confidently. Michael is a great teacher and has thorough understanding of how to pass a practical test. He was very flexible and accommodating when it came to booking lessons as I wanted to pass as soon as I could. I had wanted to learn how to drive since I was 17 when all of my other friends had passed and were driving. Michael Harmer was my driving instructor and I can't thank him enough for helping me pass first time! With only 1 minor! Michael's a top bloke who is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but you can also have a good chat with. I ended up having quite a tight timeline to learn in and we managed to fit in quite a lot of lessons in a short space of time, much appreciated. I've recommended him to a friend already and will continue to.

I was 46 when I finally decided to take the plunge and learn how to drive. At that time, I did not know the first thing about driving due to my parents never having learned how to drive. As you can imagine, I was a little apprehensive about it! However, I could not have chosen a better driving instructor than Michael at 1st Driving School! He is reliable, punctual and his sound advice, easygoing manner and dry sense of humor made lessons far less daunting than first imagined. After a reasonable number of lessons, without any practice outside of them, I was able to PASS FIRST TIME, with sufficient confidence to now go it alone.
